How Massage Therapy Helps Pain and Tension

Aches and pains may develop from muscular tension, posture habits and accumulated strain rather as well as injuries. Neck stiffness, shoulder tightness and lower back discomfort often arise from self use in daily life.

Massage can reduce tightness in the muscles, improve circulation, improve lymphatic flow and allow joints to move easily and comfortably. Sessions are adapted to the individual — some people benefit from sports massage, working on knots and strains and specific muscle groups to improve recovery time, while others prefer slower therapeutic treatment that calms and reduces stress-related tension. We also offer Facial & TMJ release and Thai foot massage which are great for overall wellbeing. See below for more info.

treatments

Massage Therapy Treatments Available in Glasgow

Available as 45, 60 or 90 minute sessions in our studio on Berekely Street or as a mobile massage home visit, across Glasgow and surrounding areas.

Deep Tissue Massage

A focused treatment for long-standing muscular tension and restricted movement. Deep tissue massage works through deeper muscle layers and connective tissue to release tight areas that restrict movement and cause ongoing discomfort. Commonly helpful for back pain, neck and shoulder pain, postural strain and desk-related tension.

Pressure is always adjusted to your comfort and tolerance. Techniques are applied slowly to allow muscles to relax and lengthen, improving mobility and reducing protective guarding in the body.

Sports Massage

For tight muscles, strains and recurring pain. Helpful for runners, gym training and active lifestyles, and also effective for persistent neck, shoulder and lower back tension.

Facial & TMJ Release Massage
(Lymphatic Drainage + Cupping)

A gentle treatment for jaw tension, headaches and facial tightness.
Focused work on the jaw, face and neck helps reduce clenching, improve mouth opening and ease pressure around the temples and ears. Lymphatic drainage and soft cupping techniques also help reduce puffiness and support natural drainage in the face and sinuses.

Can be combined with neck and shoulder work when needed.

Relaxation Massage

A slower, calming treatment designed to reduce stress and nervous system tension.
Helps improve sleep, reduce anxiety and allow the body to properly recover.

45, 60 or 90 minutes available as a mobile massage therapy home visit across Glasgow and surrounding areas.

Thai Foot Massage

A traditional treatment focusing on the feet and lower legs using rhythmic pressure and pressure point techniques.
Helps reduce fatigue, improve circulation and create a deep sense of relaxation throughout the body. Especially helpful after long periods of standing or walking.

conditions

Common Conditions Massage Therapy Can Help

Back Pain

Back pain commonly develops from posture habits, lifting strain and prolonged sitting. Treatment helps reduce tightness, improve movement and ease lower and mid-back discomfort.

Neck & Shoulder Tension

Often caused by desk work, phone use and stress-related guarding. Massage helps release upper trapezius and shoulder tension and restore comfortable movement.

Headaches

Tension headaches are frequently linked to neck and jaw muscle tightness. Treatment focuses on relieving pressure in the neck, temples and base of the skull.

Jaw Pain and TMJ

Jaw clenching and grinding can cause facial pain, ear pressure and headaches. Gentle TMJ and facial work helps reduce clenching and improve jaw movement.

Stress & Anxiety

Chronic stress activates protective muscle tension in the neck, shoulders and chest. Slower therapeutic treatment helps calm the nervous system and reduce physical tension patterns.

Desk-Related Stiffness

Restricted movement from office work leads to tight hips, upper back stiffness and reduced shoulder movement. Treatment restores circulation and range of motion.

Sports Recovery

Exercise can create muscle fatigue, tightness and delayed soreness. Massage supports recovery, circulation and return to activity.

All treatments are available at our studio on Berekely Street and as a professional mobile massage therapy service to your home across Glasgow and surrounding areas.
